19th Annual Joe Cain Classic Run "5K" T-Shirt Design Contest Display your artistic talent by designing the T-Shirt for the 19th Annual Joe Cain Classic Run AND WIN $250!! · The winning design receives a $250 cash award, will have their design reproduced on the 2009 Joe Cain Classic Run T-shirt, and win a free Joe Cain Classic T-shirt · All entries must be postmarked by December 1, 2008 · Winner will be revealed at the race on Joe Cain Day, February 22, 2009
The purpose of the 5K race is to raise money for local athletic charities and challenged athletes. The following are some themes to consider while designing the t-shirt: JOE CAIN, Joe Cain’s Merry Widows, all things associated with Mardi Gras, Mobile, Mobile Bay, running, music, our race course is one of the ugliest you will encounter (jail, scrap yard, shipyards, etc.) and our race if famous for the block party after the race. Please look around our website to get more ideas. Contest Information/Rules · Designs should measure 12” x 12” · Entries should be submitted on white unlined paper. · Designs must be completed in one of the following media: color markers, paint, colored pencils, inks, chalks or crayons. · Design entry must include your name, age, address and telephone number on a 4”x 6” postcard. Do not write on the back of artwork. Do not staple anything to the design. · Designs should include the · date, time and title of our race: “18th Annual Joe Cain Classic” It should be located at the top of the design. The words should be between 1” and 2” in height. Color copies of original designs will be accepted. · Designs may be hand drawn or designed on a computer, but NO CLIP ART! · Limit to three entries per envelope from same artist. · Contest open to people ages 13 · and older except members of the Bay Area Runners, Sponsors of the race and their immediate families (The term “immediate family members” includes spouses, parents, grandparents, siblings, children, and grandchildren). Representatives of the Bay Area Runners will judge designs. Judges’ decision is final. · All entries will be displayed at the festival. · The Bay Area Runners are not responsible for lost entries. · Designs will not be returned. · Mail entries to: Bay Area Runners at P.O.
